La Fontana offers three small cottages and the main farmhouse in the grounds of a rustic Umbrian Farm house situated in seven acres of land which includes an olive grove, an orchard and a garden. It has a pool for the sole use of the guests.

Cottage - ROSETO:
Situated on one level. It has a living room with fireplace and two large windows giving onto a terrace covered by a climbing rose. Bedroom with double bed and bathroom en suite. Kitchenette. Approximately 50 square metres.

Cottage - LIMONAIA:
Large, studio room with double bed and single sofa bed. Ample kitchen with fireplace. Covered veranda. Approximately 60 square metres.

Cottage - PERGOLA:
L shaped studio room with queen size bed, single sofa bed and kitchen unit. This cottage has a lovely view from the pergola and is covered with grape vines. Approximately 30 square metres.

Main House:
Has a large kitchen dining room with ad open fire. 2 Double bedrooms and one single. A sitting room and two bathrooms one with a shower and one with shower and a bath.

The guests all have use of the pool.

La Fontana has the influence of a mixture of Mediterranean and English taste with a variety of flowering shrubs and trees. The property is situated overlooking a valley from a cliff, facing south-west in a lovely sunny spot.

Amelia, today represents a very important historical and cultural centre, was at one time of the liveliest Italic cities. Its origins are ancient. Pliny the Elder quotes a passage of Cato’s Origines, which marks the foundation of Amelia in 1134 B.C.

Amelia is the main town of a territory called Amerino, which includes many small towns like Giove, Penna in Teverina, Alviano, Attigliano, Lugnano in Teverina, Avigliano and Montecastrilli. These towns have succeeded in preserving their medieval atmosphere thanks to the remarkable remains of castles, ancient walls and towers. Amelia itself is 5 minutes away by car and offers a good selections of shops restaurants and bars.

Amelia is easily arrived at by motorway. From the two nearest airports which are both in Rome: Fiumicino and Ciampino it takes about 1.5 hrs From Amelia you can visit many places here are just a few: Rome, Orvieto, Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia, Viterbo and Florence The waterfalls at Marmore, near Terni. In addition there are many wonderful small hilltop towns that are abundant in this area.

Please note 50 euros is required for an additional guest per week for each of the cottages. Also the whole complex maybe rented, price on application.
