Only 1.5km from the village of Poggio Catino which has one bar and a small shop. Poggio Mirteto is about 5km away and offers a much greater choice of shops, bars and places to eat. Places to visit: Rome, the National Park Dei Monti, The National Tevere reserve. Further afield are Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Orvieto plus of course there are many charming small towns.
The train service is very good value for money. From Poggio Mirteto trains into Rome run every half an hour and take about 45 minutes. Poggio Catino is approximately 60km from either of the two Rome airports: Fiumicino and Ciampino, both offer a good choice of car hire companies.
